Group Work Policies
Throughout the course, students will be asked to complete some assignments in groups of their peers. In these cases, students will work as a group to complete the assignment and credit will be awarded to each student baed on the completed project. However, individual effort is still required, and "group" grades may be adjusted due to a student putting forth extra or less effort to the assignment.
Many career and life-oriented tasks are group efforts. That is why I believe it is important to learn group work skills in the classroom. However, students (and parents) never need to worry that grades will be jeopardized by other members of the group if these things are kept in mind:
- Always inform the teacher right away if there is a problem with the group.
- Always give the best effort to every assignment.
