Extra Credit

Given my policy of allowing students to redo work, I rarely give extra credit to replace thoughtful effort on required assignments. Occasionally I may offer an extra credit opportunity that I believe is enriching or otherwise helps students achieve the course objectives. Sometimes I may even offer extra credit that I believe the students may have fun with or help me understand the students in my class. However, students should not approach me with the hopes that I will give an extra credit opportunity simply to help boost a poor grade.

One on-going extra credit opportunity

While attempting to develop engaging lessons, grading assignments, building PowerPoint presentations, and a myriad of other duties associated with the classroom, it is possible that this website may take a back burner on my stove of priorities. Students can help keep me up to date and accurate.

I will give the first student who reports a problem with this website a bit of extra-credit on their quarter grade. It's always nice to catch a teacher making a mistake. But, this will also hopefully provide students with an incentive to explore this site.

Problems may include, but are not limited to: typos, grammatical errors, broken or missing links, incorrect information, unclear or confusing text, etc. I reserve the right to disagree with a student's report.
